AccuRev announced that customers are taking advantage of the new
feature, usability and performance enhancements within its latest AccuBridge
for Eclipse plug-in. AccuRev allows developers to access process-centric
software configuration management (SCM) functionality directly within their
familiar Eclipse IDE integration platform, enabling more familiar user
interface options and increasing productivity.
Joe Shelby, Technical Lead, TEOCO Corporation, said,
“Integration with the Eclipse IDE was very important to us when selecting our
new SCM vendor, as was robust support for release management activities.
AccuRev offered parallel development support superior to that of the Eclipse
integrations from the other SCM
tools we evaluated. In particular, the Team Synchronize view has given our
developers a near-seamless migration to AccuRev.
Mr. Shelby continued, “We appreciate the attention by
AccuRev in keeping the user interface truly integrated with Eclipse and similar
to its built-in components, allowing our team to move forward with the new SCM
implementation with minimal time lost in training.”
Significant feature, usability and performance enhancements
within AccuBridge for Eclipse 2008.1 include:
- Eclipse Team Synchronize View
- Enhanced Diff and Merge Functionality
- Eclipse History View
AccuBridge for Eclipse also provides several additional
usability and productivity enhancements, including a redesigned Checkout Wizard
and improved menus for easy access to AccuRev functionality.
Cliff Utstein, vice president of marketing, AccuRev Inc,
said, “Over half our customers today are using the Eclipse IDE, and we continue
to work to define the optimal SCM experience for developers within Eclipse.
This release demonstrates both the simplicity and power of AccuRev for the
Eclipse development community.”
