MONTREAL, QUEBEC -- (MARKET WIRE) -- 03/30/07 -- SR Telecom (TSX: SRX) today announced it will delay the release of its fourth quarter and year-end results for the period ended December 31, 2006. The Company is currently discussing financing options with several investors to provide a permanent solution for its capital structure issues. SR Telecom continues to focus its resources on developing, delivering and deploying WiMAX-certified broadband wireless access systems.

In addition, the Company has requested the Autorite des marches financiers (AMF) impose a management cease-trade order covering all directors and officers of the Company as well as certain significant shareholders, until such time as the Company's fourth quarter and year-end results are released. It is expected that the AMF will issue the order on April 2, 2007.

SR Telecom has made significant progress in its renewal process over the last few months, including the completion of several financial and operational projects. Today's delay is a consequence of certain other initiatives that have taken longer than expected to finalize.
