SEATTLE, WA -- (MARKET WIRE) -- 10/19/06 -- QL2 Software, the leading provider of data extraction and integration tools and solutions, today announces their association with BioIT Alliance, an organization dedicated to increasing medical research efficiency. The BioIT Alliance is composed of an ever growing number of companies, including QL2 Software, working together to solve the technical challenges that meet life sciences companies in data integration, collaboration and knowledge management. The Alliance brings together pharmaceutical, biotech, hardware and software companies to explore and develop new ways to share complex biomedical information and speed the pace of knowledge discovery. QL2 Software's initial involvement will be to collaborate with other Alliance members to share information such as case studies and whitepapers to enhance member knowledge. QL2 Software will also cooperate with the Alliance and contribute its expertise in the integration of complex biomedical data. The Alliance will work together to help software partners provide more integrated, complete, and powerful solutions for discovering biomarkers that indicate the presence of disease or the efficacy of a cure.

"The BioIT Alliance is poised to make great strides to minimize the time gap between information discovery and practical implementation of the findings," said Chris Buckingham, President and CEO of QL2 Software. "This collaboration is exciting for medical advancement as well as technical innovation."
