Bill Dudney's Weblog: Oracle Buying JBoss? Who Cares?
Ok, I've been following the hype and speculation about Oracle buying JBoss but the latest bit that I read on Business Week really got my dander up. It's not the article from BW that was irritating at all it was the comment by some one claiming to be 'Siddharth Gulhati'. I don't know Sid but his comment is over the top for me.

Amen, thank god, the sooner we can get rid of this ASStroturfer and hand him over to the commercial world that he has been pining for, the better - the projects like Resin and other projects can get some attention.

I got offered CVS access to JBoss without even asking for it. If you can write a halfway decent patch, Adrian will let you get CVS access and check it in. It's that simple.

In comparison, having dealt with the Apache folk, it's taken 2 years, plus signing a contract just to submit a few files to Log4J.
