Siebel Systems Deploys Integrated Solution to Provide Hands-On Labs for Technical Training in Centra-Powered Virtual Classrooms

AUSTIN, Texas, April 5 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Surgient, a leading provider of on-demand applications for test and training lab automation, and Centra , a leading provider of specialized application software and services for online business collaboration, today announced a partnership to enable access to virtual labs for students and participants in the Centra-powered live eLearning and collaboration environment. The relationship will enable customers to leverage Surgient's Virtual Training Management System (VTMS) and Centra's award-winning Centra 7 business collaboration solutions in a seamlessly integrated environment.

Siebel Systems, the market leader in customer relationship management solutions, is the first customer to use the integrated solution. Siebel University is using Centra to create a virtual classroom environment for live instruction and training exercises, which are performed in Surgient's VTMS virtual labs application. The result for students is a seamless learning environment delivered directly to their desktops with all the benefits of live classroom instruction.
