The Ready for IBM Rational validation confirms that Flashline's products have met requirements for their integration with the IBM Rational Software Development Platform. Flashline's Eclipse Adapter for the IBM Rational Software Development Platform allows developers to leverage the power of the Flashline Registry from within products such as IBM Rational Application Developer and IBM Rational Software Architect. Flashline's plug-in to the IBM Rational Unified Process, or RUP, extends RUP with best practices for software asset portfolio management.
"The validation of Flashline for the Ready for IBM Rational program helps to assure customers that the Flashline solution strictly follows our standard in integrating with the IBM Rational Software Development Platform," said Claudia Dent, vice president of product management, IBM Rational. "Bringing software asset portfolio management and related best practices directly into the developer's day-to-day experience helps organizations improve their businesses through software development."
"The majority of our enterprise and Federal customers use IBM Rational products in combination with Flashline. The Ready for IBM Rational validation strengthens our offering and supports a specified standard of integration into IBM Rational's solutions," stated Cathy Lippert, vice president of product management, Flashline. "As organizations embark on development initiatives such as web services, enterprise architecture, reuse and open source, the ability to effectively develop and manage software assets is critical to achieving program benefits. We are excited to offer our validated solution and look forward to working with our customers on continued success."
