Visa International tritt den bisher 13 Mitgliedern des Konsortiums bei, das dotMobi bereits unterstützt. Zudem wird Visa auch ein Mitglied des Board of Directors stellen. Das Unternehmen verfügt über umfangreiche Erfahrung auf dem Gebiet drahtloser Geschäfts- und Zahlungstransaktionen, unter anderem Lösungen für mobile Bezahlung, OTA-Personalisierung (Over-the-Air), Coupons und Direktmarketing. Zu dem Betreiberkonsortium dotMobi gehören bereits führende Geräteanbieter, Netz- und Netzwerkbetreiber sowie Internet Content Provider.
