CHANHASSEN, Minn., March 30 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Datalink , an independent information storage architect, today announced the appointment of Mike Cannon as west region sales director. Cannon will oversee Datalink's western sales efforts, work closely with regional engineering teams and expand Datalink's presence in enterprise accounts.
"Mike brings a wealth of service and solutions-based selling leadership to this position and I am pleased that we are able to fill this role with such a qualified individual," said Rob Beyer, vice president of field operations.
Prior to joining Datalink, Cannon held sales and management roles at CNT, where he was national sales director for IBM Global Services, and Vixel Corporation, where he was channel director. Additionally, Cannon has held sales leadership roles with EMC Corporation and MCI Worldcom.

Cannon earned a bachelor's degree in information systems from Texas A&M University, a master's degree in business administration from St. Thomas University, and a master's degree in computer science from Colorado Tech.
