New Members Help Enable and Drive Widespread Adoption of Internet of Everything

SAN FRANCISCO, CA -- (Marketwired) -- 05/01/14 -- The AllSeen Alliance, the broadest cross-industry consortium to advance the Internet of Everything, today announced that EXO U, Guangdong Pisen Electronics and ThroughTek have joined the AllSeen Alliance as community members. With the addition of these three member companies, the Alliance's membership has grown to 44 organizations only four months after its creation.

The Internet of Everything promises to connect devices in businesses and homes seamlessly. Through the AllSeen Alliance's open source solution, AllJoyn, devices and systems can discover and interact across various transport layers -- including WiFi, power line, or Ethernet -- regardless of manufacturer or operating system. Alliance member organizations join the initiative to collaborate on the open source framework to achieve interoperability and deliver on the promise of the Internet of Everything.

Products, apps and services must be able to communicate and interact regardless of manufacturer, device type or operating system," said Liat Ben-Zur, chairman of the AllSeen Alliance. The AllSeen Alliance is comprised of the top consumer electronics manufacturers, home appliance makers, service providers, retailers, enterprise technology companies, innovative startups, software developers and chipset manufacturers that have come together to ensure interoperability in the Internet of Everything. EXO U, with offices in Montreal and Palo Alto, enables businesses and educational organizations to securely manage information and empower people to communicate their best ideas through application interoperability across desktop and mobile computing environments platforms. We simplify the management of the entire application lifecycle management, helping clients manage enterprise mobility and BYOD initiatives, thus increasing productivity, and reducing the total cost of ownership.
