In a comparison of leading commercial AJAX solutions, the InfoWorld Test Center gave the highest rating to the Backbase Enterprise AJAX Framework. "It's great to see independent authorities to confirm the quality and added-value of the Backbase software," said Jouk Pleiter, CEO of Backbase.
Backbase excelled in ease of development and documentation, and had top scores for capability and performance. InfoWorld concludes: "If you’re adding AJAX gadgets to an existing or forthcoming Struts, JSF, or .Net project, then Backbase would be a good choice."
Backbase added a number of Global 2000 companies to its customer base including Motorola, Vanguard, Visa, Norwich Union, Tribune Company, Serena and Canon.
Backbase has released version 3.2 of its JSF Edition. It features simplified installation based on an Eclipse plug-in, more AJAX JSF controls, performance enhancements and defect fixes. Also, a Duke's bookstore starter kit has been added, which illustrates a data-driven AJAX application with a Web Services back-end. This version is backwards-compatible with version 1.2: the change in numbering is to unify our product numbering.
