GGA Software Services LLC, a leading provider of outsourced scientific software and informatics services to the life sciences industry, announced today the appointment of Bob Kramich as Chief Business Development Officer for the company. In this capacity, Mr. Kramich will be responsible for directing all new business development activities for GGA globally. Mr. Kramich brings to GGA over 25 years of successful sales and marketing experience in the outsourced software engineering and IT services industries.
“We are very pleased that Bob has decided to join GGA and lead our business development efforts,” said Richard Golob, GGA’s President and Chief Executive Officer. “Bob has extensive experience creating and delivering high value outsourcing relationships with international companies. His extensive knowledge in IT offshoring services, particularly those related to new and emerging markets, will accelerate GGA’s business growth worldwide.”
Most recently, Mr. Kramich served as President of U.S. Operations for Dextrys, Inc., a prominent provider of outsourced software engineering and IT services in China. In this role, he directed business development for Dextrys’ outsourced software engineering, testing, and maintenance solutions. During Mr. Kramich’s tenure, Dextrys secured a $48-million round of financing led by Francisco Partners, one of the premier technology-focused private equity firms, and increased its Chinese offshore engineering team from approximately 250 people to over 1,000.
Prior to Dextrys, Mr. Kramich was Vice President and General Manager of Converge, a $500-million global high-tech semiconductor trading exchange. He led the expansion of the exchange from its base in the U.S. and Europe to Singapore and China, establishing operations in Shanghai in 2002 and Shenzhen in 2004. Prior to his position at Converge, Mr. Kramich served as a Divisional Vice President of Marketing for Avnet, Inc., a Fortune 500 provider of semiconductors and related services. He holds a B.A. degree from Tufts University and a M.B.A. degree from Boston College.
“Since 1994, GGA has established a reputation as the partner of choice for delivering differentiated scientific software services, including scientific informatics and algorithm development solutions,” said Mr. Kramich. “When leading companies need to combine science and mathematics together with software engineering and knowledge management, they select GGA. I am excited about joining the GGA team and helping to lead its expansion worldwide.”
