ZTE Open, il primo smartphone al mondo con Firefox SO

ZTE ha lanciato ZTE Open, il primo smartphone al mondo che supporta l'ecosistema mobile aperto di Mozilla Firefox OS. In collaborazione con l'operatore globale Telefónica, ZTE lancerà inizialmente ZTE Open in Spagna, Venezuela e Colombia nella metà del 2013.

ZTE Open è uno smartphone di fascia bassa, l'ideale per giovani che vogliono sperimentare le più recenti tecnologie e per le persone dal budget limitato che passano da un cellulare tradizionale al loro primo smartphone. Presenta un display touch HVGA TFT da 3,5", 256 MB di RAM e 512 MB di ROM oltre a una videocamera da 3,2 MP. Supporta Bluetooth 2.1, WIFI 802.11b/g/n e AGPS ed è dotato di una batteria 1200 mAh.

Firefox OS non presenta restrizioni; fornisce una piattaforma di standard open ad alta velocità perfetta per gli sviluppatori che vogliono creare siti e applicazioni basati su HTML5. Le applicazioni così create potranno essere distribuite su Firefox Marketplace.

ZTE Open è in mostra al Mobile World Congress 2013 a Barcellona allo stand 3C64/3C74, padiglione 3.
