Symphony Teleca Corporation, the services organization dedicated exclusively to helping clients manage the global convergence of software, the cloud and connected devices, announced today that it has become a member of the AVnu Alliance, an industry forum that certifies Audio Video Bridging (AVB) products for interoperability.
Symphony Teleca’s membership in the AVnu Alliance follows its recent launch of an Ethernet Audio Video Bridging solution for the automotive and consumer equipment industries. The new solution provides a fast and low-risk track to Ethernet AVB products. It offers a cost-efficient, high-performance and high-bandwidth solution for audio and video streaming with guaranteed delivery and latency.
Symphony Teleca is an end-to-end solution provider for Ethernet AVB, and provides consulting and proof-of-concept development and implementation services including relevant middleware, application components, and full network management, as well as test and validation services. The company leverages its vast experience in development of video distribution systems, the TCP/IP stack, PHY & MAC layer drivers, middleware components and application APIs in Open Source.
“We at Symphony Teleca have seen first-hand the need for new connectivity solutions within markets such as consumer electronics and automotive, and Ethernet AVB is one of the most promising standards to be deployed,” said Sanjay Jain, EVP & GM, MCD Division, Symphony Teleca. “We’re happy to join the AVnu Alliance and to help promote the importance of AVB standards to ensure that solutions meet those standards laid out by IEEE and other organizations to work seamlessly with other networked AV devices.”
“We welcome Symphony Teleca to our growing automotive promoters of AVnu certified AVB technology for the auto industry," stated Lee Minich, Marketing Work Group chair of AVnu Alliance and president of Lab X Technologies. "AVB is perfectly suited for the increasingly demanding in-car infotainment needs, and we are very pleased that Symphony Teleca has chosen to incorporate AVB into its leading user experience platform for the automotive applications."
Symphony Teleca has joined the AVnu Alliance at a promoter level and will be actively promoting AVB technology and helping to speed up adoption by providing integration solutions and services to consumer electronics manufacturers, automotive Tier 1s and OEMs. Symphony Teleca’s current Ethernet AVB solution for the automotive and consumer equipment industries provides an affordable, scalable, flexible, robust and security-guaranteed in-vehicle network that helps customers tackle the cost and complexity challenges involved in delivering next-generation in-vehicle-infotainment solutions.
