NEW YORK, NY -- (Marketwire) -- 02/12/13 -- 10gen, the MongoDB company, today announced the appointment of Philip Carty as Senior Vice President of Worldwide Sales. A 29-year software industry veteran, Carty will be responsible for guiding and expanding 10gen's global sales efforts, ensuring customer success with organizations of all sizes and leading a rapidly expanding sales organization.
Carty joins 10gen following six years at Successfactors, the leading provider of business execution software, where he was Global Vice President of Sales across all markets and segments. Under Carty's leadership and together with the extended team, Successfactors achieved compound annual growth rate of more than 85 percent and was acquired by SAP for more than $3.6 billion in 2011.
Prior to Successfactors, Carty led highly successful sales teams at some of the world's leading technology companies such as Red Hat, Veritas (acquired by Symantec), Oracle and ADP.
