"Ektron's OEM agreement with Gentics provides Ektron-based websites with unprecedented WYSIWYG editing capabilities in a modern content authoring package," said Ektron President Tim McKinnon. "The agreement also allows Ektron to develop on Aloha Editor and to give back to the Aloha Editor community version to maximize the editor's capabilities."
"We're extremely pleased that Ektron, one of the leading content management systems, has adopted the Aloha Editor into its CMS product, and will be contributing to Aloha Editor's ongoing development," said Alexander Szlezak, Gentics co-founder and Chief Executive Officer.
As the CMS platform of choice for more than 3,800 companies around the world, Ektron enables organizations to create, deploy and manage enterprise-scale, global, personalized websites. With Aloha Editor, authors can create and edit content instantaneously and see exactly how that content will appear on the website during authoring. The editor provides Ektron customers with numerous benefits, including the ability to easily format text, set hyperlinks, insert imagery, create tables, and copy-and-paste content from Microsoft Word with all formatting intact.
"We have approximately 40 people who post to the Berry College website through the Ektron platform," said Cameron Jordan, Director of E-communication Services at Berry College. "With the 8.6 upgrade of its software, Ektron integrated the Aloha Editor and the posting experience is so much better now."
