On the heels of a successful product unveiling at CES 2013, iSmart Alarm, Inc (www.ismartalarm.com) is now launching an awareness campaign for its iPhone-controlled home security and home automation system on global crowdfunding site Indiegogo. The goal of the campaign is to build upon the initial buzz created at CES by offering customers the opportunity to support the project, as well as pre-order the home alarm system at a much-below-retail price. To view or contribute to the iSmartAlarm Indiegogo campaign, go to www.indiegogo.com/ismartalarm.
The idea behind the iSmartAlarm system first began when Steve Jobs’ home was broken into in mid-2012, and over $60,000 worth of Apple products and personal belongings were stolen. The iSmartAlarm system integrates with the free iPhone App to allow the user to arm, disarm, and monitor their security system from anywhere, at any time, and provides better performance over conventional home security system.
“Since our launch, we’ve been inundated with people asking how they can be the first to get an iSmartAlarm system for their homes,” said Raymond Meng. “In an effort to meet demand, we’ve started an Indiegogo campaign with the funds going toward production of the home security and home control systems which will be shipped in April.”
The 45-day campaign aims to raise $100,000 that will help fund iSmartAlarm’s manufacturing and production plan as well as the development of iSmartAlarm for Android users. As an incentive to customers, iSmartAlarm will offer generous discounts on the system to those pre-ordering on Indiegogo. There are several pledge levels based on the type of package that best suits the customers’ needs (www.indiegogo.com/ismartalarm).
“The Indiegogo campaign is an opportunity for our customers to get the security system they want at a price that likely won’t be offered again,” adds Meng. “We are happy to offer this discount as a way of saying ‘Thank You’ to our customers for believing in iSmartAlarm: a product that is truly helping to make homes safer and more intelligent.”
iSmartAlarm puts a 21st century spin on traditional security systems. The sleek, sophisticated system utilizes the iPhone to put home security and home control in the palm of its users’ hands. iSmartAlarm is portable, wireless and requires no contracts or monthly fees. In addition to keeping homes protected, iSmartAlarm is an open source solution, allowing it to be used for a variety of household purposes such as turning lights on and off and controlling the thermostat.
