- Inaugural Event Draws 300 Attendees from All Over the World
- Neo Hands Out More Than a Dozen Graphie Awards at Conference to Recognize the Most Innovative Graph Database Applications
Neo Technology, creators of Neo4j, the world's leading graph database, concluded its GraphConnect 2012 conference, drawing more than 300 graph database thought leaders, researchers and developers from around the globe. The conference, which took place in San Francisco last month, provided insight into graph database applications and explored the use of graph technology across a wide range of industries, including Finance, Education, Web, ISV, and Telecom/Data Communications.
Neo has pioneered graph databases since 2000 and since day one has strived to build the largest ecosystem of users and partners. GraphConnect 2012 represents the culmination of its work thus far. The outpouring of support, involvement, and range of case studies demonstrated at the conference proves that organizations across every industry are continually challenged to solve connected data issues. As the established leader in its market, and credited with thousands of successful implementations, Neo anticipates mass adoption of its technology as the market for graph databases takes off.
"GraphConnect allowed us to see first hand that graph database technology is top of mind for virtually every type of organization today. The knowledge and experience we gained by connecting one on one with hundreds of developers tells us that graph database technology is becoming a hot market, and that widespread adoption of Neo4j is imminent," said Emil Eifrem, CEO of Neo Technology.
An impressive line-up of speakers from Intuit, ThoughtWorks, FiftyThree, Squidoo, Adobe, Telenor, and Cisco presented over a dozen talks, workshops and panel discussions. As part of the conference, Neo handed out Graphie awards to acknowledge the outstanding work being done by Neo4j community members and others. The first award of its kind, the Graphies recognize and celebrate developers and teams who are transforming the world through their development of innovative graph databases. 2012 award winners include:
