SANTA BARBARA, CA -- (Marketwire) -- 02/16/12 -- Eucalyptus Systems, creator of the most widely deployed on-premise cloud computing platform, today announced that it has expanded its leadership team with the addition of Ning Wang as its Chief Financial Officer. Co-Founder Woody Rollins, who previously held the CFO role, has been appointed to Chief Talent Officer, responsible for developing the team to capitalize on the growing demand for private cloud architectures.
"Woody's contribution to Eucalyptus since its founding has been immeasurable -- he knows what it takes to build a great team and a successful company," said Marten Mickos, Eucalyptus CEO. "In addition to his move, we welcome Ning Wang as our new CFO. Ning has an outstanding financial track record and unique experience managing rapid growth in technology companies. With this addition to our executive team, we are positioned for global leadership in our industry segment."
With nearly 20 years of experience, Ms. Wang is responsible for the world-wide financial management of the company, enabling Eucalyptus to further expand its business. Ms. Wang recently served as CFO and COO at Lynda.com, where she was responsible for the financial performance and business operations, enabling the business to triple in size in three short years. Prior to Lynda.com, Ms. Wang held COO and CFO roles at Blue Casa and Bargain Network, where she significantly improved the financial performance of each company. Prior to this, she served as a consultant at McKinsey & Company. Eucalyptus is funded by Benchmark Capital, BV Capital and New Enterprise Associates, and Ms. Wang will preside over the financial health of the company, coordinating finance and administration across Eucalyptus' global presence in China, India, EMEA and USA.
"Eucalyptus has experienced tremendous success in the past few years to become the world's most widely deployed private cloud software platform," said Ning Wang. "With a stable of high profile customers like Plinga, Puma and the USDA, and a deep partner ecosystem, I'm very excited to be part of the company's leadership team, working to stay ahead of the global cloud computing industry, which is on a tremendous growth trajectory."
Mr. Rollins was responsible for the initial commercialization and strategic direction of Eucalyptus, and will continue to be integral to the company's growth as its Chief Talent Officer. Prior to Eucalyptus, he served in many executive and financial roles over a 20 year period. He co-founded Old Firehouse Capital and was involved in industries as diverse as art to auto parts, where he leveraged technology and finance to change the status quo of mature markets.
