DARIEN, CT -- (MARKET WIRE) -- 08/23/05 -- The Board of Directors of the American Society of Hypertension, Inc. voted today to name The Journal of Clinical Hypertension, published by Le Jacq, Ltd., as an official journal of its society.

The Journal of Clinical Hypertension is distributed monthly to approximately 44,000 physicians in the United States, including cardiologists, family practitioners and internists, with the primary objective of bridging the "knowledge-practice gap" between researchers and practicing clinicians. The JCH is in its seventh year of continuous publication and is listed in the National Library of Medicine's Index Medicus. The Journal publishes original and review articles, editorials, commentaries, roundtable discussions and special sections devoted to a broad spectrum of clinically relevant material. The Journal's leadership is comprised of a distinguished Editorial Board of national and international leaders in hypertension and cardiovascular disease.
