Kaltura Expands its Global Activity to Japan via Strategic Partnership with DAC

Kaltura, Inc. (http://www.kaltura.com), developer of the first open source online video platform, and Digital Advertising Consortium (DAC), one of Japan’s largest digital marketing agencies, announced today that the companies have entered into a strategic partnership to distribute Kaltura’s open source online video platform to the Japanese market. DAC will be marketing a Japanese version of Kaltura’s video platform.

DAC was founded by several of the largest advertising agencies in Japan, including Hakuhodo DY Media Partners Inc., ASATSU-DK Inc., and I&S BBDO Inc. The company generates annual revenues in excess of 45 billion Yen by providing media, operations and technology services to more than 1,500 leading ad agencies and publishers in Japan, including Yahoo!, MSN, AOL, CNET, Reuters, Infoseek, Mixi, and Asahi. In addition, DAC’s AD-Visor NEXT online media planning system is the de-facto industry standard for media ad campaign planning in Japan, and its iPS-X ad-serving solution is used by more than 300 Japanese publishers.
