Digium®, Inc., the Asterisk® Company, today announced that telephony integration partner EUS Networks has completed and deployed an Asterisk-powered IP telephony solution for trading room floors for a hedge fund client in the asset management industry. The solution includes Digium’s Asterisk Business Edition™, the enterprise-grade version of the popular open source telephony software, and trading turrets from IP Trade Networks.

The new system gives the customer, a hedge fund, advanced call-control functionality, including the call recording capabilities required by Sarbanes-Oxley, the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) and the Financial Industry Regulatory Authority (FINRA); disaster recovery; the cost advantages of voice over IP (VoIP); and the ability to keep using existing hardware and phone sets to save money.
